Help & Troubleshooting

Common setup steps and solutions for athletes and coaches.

Connecting Strava

Athletes can connect their Strava account to sync training activities into Eventyr. Each athlete must connect their own Strava account.

  1. Go to your Athlete Dashboard and open the Activity tab.
  2. Click Connect Strava. You will be redirected to Strava to authorize.
  3. Sign in to Strava (if needed) and approve access for Eventyr to read your activities.
  4. After connecting, use Sync recent or Sync more history to import activities.

Tip: If you share a browser with others, log out of Strava first or use a private window so you connect with your own account.

Athlete–Coach Link

Athletes sign up with a coach to get access to training plans, chat, and activity tracking. The coach must approve the request.

  1. Athletes: Go to Available coaches and select a coach to send a request.
  2. Coaches: Open your dashboard and find the Pending requests section. Click Approve to accept an athlete.
  3. Once approved, the athlete will see their coach on the dashboard and can use all linked features.

If you see "Your coach request is pending approval," your coach has not yet approved. Ask them to check their dashboard.

Strava Redirect URL (for developers)

If you are configuring Strava API for your own deployment:

  • Production: https://eventyrperformance.com/api/strava/callback
  • Local development: http://localhost:3000/api/strava/callback

In Strava's API settings (strava.com/settings/api), set Authorization Callback Domain to the domain only (e.g. eventyrperformance.com or localhost).
